The story is said that the Roman King at the time wanted men to join the army but to him all men wanted to do was marry and have families.
It made him mad that no one wanted to do what he "thought" they should so he made marrying illegeal.
Their was a priest named St. Valentines who didn't want people to be tempted so he would marry them in secret. Needless to say the Roman King found out and put him in prison. While in prison he wrote his family and friends and asked for prayers and not to forget their Valentines.
The king murdered him and thus we have Valentines Day. It happened on Feb 14th
